When you access Information Portal, several different things may be displayed depending on how your library system administrator has customized the Information Portal interface. Generally speaking, the Information Portal interface is composed of three main components: upper tabs, web pages, and the Information Portal Toolbar.
Upper Tabs
There are three main upper tabs to help you navigate through Information Portal functions: Home, Search, and My Account. The tabs are located in the top center of your screen and look like this:

Clicking on each tab displays additional options for that tab. These options are hyperlinks located within the colored section of the tab bar. In the example above, clicking on the Home tab displays hyperlinks to the library's Welcome and Hours pages.
Web Pages
Information Portal consists of multiple web pages that let you perform various library-related tasks. Information Portal uses hyperlinks to let you access different functions on different Information Portal web pages.
Hyperlinks can appear as icons, tabs, or links, and let you "jump" from one page to another based on the function you want to access. For example, if you click the Login icon on the Toolbar, Information Portal displays the Login page.
Each page also displays a Help button that links to a help screen containing specific information about the options on that particular Information Portal web page. Each help screen displays a User's Guide icon that links to the full Information Portal User's Guide.
The Information Portal Toolbar provides quick and easy access to additional Information Portal functions. The Toolbar is located in the upper right-hand corner of the interface and looks like this:

Clicking on any icon on the Toolbar will redirect you to a specific web page for that option. (Click any icon on the Toolbar above to learn more about what each icon does.)
